Technical dynamics
1. The French version of the official website is online. The Newton official website now supports 8 languages. More languages are coming soon to make Newton more welcoming for our overseas friends.
2. We completed the development of invitation registration, contribution value calculation, personal center and other functions in the membership system. This will provide support for the development of the Newton community following which we will enter the testing stage.
3. We completed the development of the Newton wallet registration and contact management in NewAPI-1.0.
4. We completed the function development of mnemonics and private key import and export, contacts and other functions in NewPay-1.0.
5. We completed NewChainProxy component development, implementation of white list, security auditing and other functions, which will effectively increase NewChain’s security level.
6. We completed the development of a multi-signature command line. This program will enhance the security of the node’s digital assets.
Team dynamics
1. On June 4, 2018, Mr. Jizhe Xu attended the seminar organized by Professor Gu Xueyong (Newton advisor) at the Tsinghua University and exchanged insights and views on blockchain industry and Newton project with the other guests.
2. On the afternoon of June 6th, 2018, Mr. Theodore Gray, co-founder of Wolfram Research and Mathematica, visited Newton office and had an in-depth discussion on the value of bitcoin and blockchain technology with Mr. Jizhe Xu. Mr. Theodore Gray proposed many constructive suggestions for the development of the Newton project.
Mr. Theodore Gray is a chemist and science writer. He founded a enjoyable and educational website for the Periodic Table of the Elements and published many books. At the same time, he is a genius of science and technology. He worked with Mr. Steve Jobs and played an important role at NeXT. He has made significant contributions to Apple’s iPad in its competition with Kindle.
3.On June 7th, 2018, Mr. Jizhe Xu held the Newton Global Business Ecology Conference. All the important partners from both home and abroad attended the conference. They all have abundant resources which will contribute to the development and overseas expansion of the Newton project.
The Global Business Ecology Conference focused on the important issues of how businesses can implement Newton and make use of Newton economic infrastructure.
The conference suggested that a business can enter Newton Mall in three ways: Small businesses can enter Newton directly; Mid-sized businesses can develop their own malls based on Newton’s protocols; Large-scale businesses can develop their own malls based on Newton’s protocols, issue their own tokens and construct a small business ecology.
The Global Business Ecology Conference also discussed the topic of standardization of blockchain technology and Newton’s business development and academic exchange programs in North America.
4.On the afternoon of June 8th , 2018, Mr. Jizhe Xu met with some colleague from the Blockchain industry in the Newton office to discuss aNewton joint ecological construction.
Community dynamics
1. The Newton English Telegram community grew from 9,565 to 10,808 this week, a growth of 13%. The Chinese community increased from 2511 to 2811 this week, a growth rate of 11.95%.
2. This week, Newton founder Mr. Jizhe Xu and co-founder Mr. Shubin Li interacted with community members and expressed their insights on e-commerce and Newton project. Here are some highlights:
They think the credit issue is a small technical problem in the development of e-commerce. The previous business revolution was actually based on a significant increase in efficiency, but the business benefits generated by the upgrade were taken away by capital.
The difference between traditional internet-based e-commerce and blockchain-based e-commerce is that, although traditional internet-based e-commerce eliminates information asymmetry, it does not solve the problem that the data do not belong to users and fraudulent sales of this data. Newton will perfectly solve all these problems.
3. The Newton community construction work started by the Newton operation team comes to frutation. There emerged over 100 new communities in China this week and the newly built community will cover nearly 20,000 Chinese users.
