Technical dynamics
1. The official website now supports Newton poster downloads, which will facilitate the Newton community to organize offline activities.
2. We have completed the development and improvement of the official website membership system, passed functional tests and security tests, so as to ensure that the system will provide reliable support for the Newton community.
3. We have completed the development of the NameRegistry contract, which supports the basic functions of account registration and the development of follow-up functions.
4. We have completed the development of the NewChainDump component, which supports data backup and data analysis for the main chain.
5. We completed design and development of NewIoT prototype.
Team dynamics
1. Newton Advisor Prof. Dinghe Hu was invited as a special guest to participate in the “Digital Asset Investment Summit (DAIS)” held in Beijing on June 12, 2018.
In the round table session “Finance Technology and Blockchain · Dialogue Between Changers and Educators”, Professor Hu Dinghu shared his insights on the changes of business from the Newton project with the other guests and the audience.
The summit lasted for one day and brought together industry leaders, technology pioneers and digital assets investors. This summit was the sixth gathering in the Global Digital Asset Investment Forum Series. The summit had more than 100 speakers coming from leading organizations all over the world. The summit focused on the cutting-edge blockchain technology and it’s application in the development of the market, conducting in-depth analysis of the evolution of financial technology and blockchain technology and the global development trends in innovation and ecology.
2.On the afternoon of June 13, Newton founder Mr. Jizhe Xu held a meeting on blockchain project cooperation and community integration & co-construction. The attendees included Newton advisor and angel investor Mr. Lee Willson, IDHub founder Mr. Ming Qu, and Indorse founder Mr. Gaurang Torvekar.
Guests from different industries in the blockchain field have introduced the development status of their respective fields and conducted in-depth discussion on Newton project,then the Newton teams and guests initially reached a multi-party cooperation intention.
3.On June 14, 2018, Newton founderMr. Jizhe Xu introduced Newton visions and business logic to the visiting guests coming from many leading organizations and discussed the cooperation opportunities in various fields.
4.On June 15th, 2018, Newton founder Jizhe Xu and Newton advisor Dinghe Hu attended the Carbon Chain Roundtable event sponsored by the Carbon 9 Accelerator and discussed the development of the blockchain industry with other invited guests.
Strategic Cooperation
Newton and DCC recently announced their upgraded strategic cooperation. This trans-boundary cooperation will serve the commercial ecology comprising millions of users. The two parties will jointly promote the application of blockchain technology in consumer finance and supply chain finance industry.
DCC aims at breaking the monopoly of traditional financial institutions through fair financial service capabilities and then return the benefits of financial services to the transaction participants. This way, each participant can share the rewards of ecological growth.
According to the roadmap, NewMall will be online by the end of 2018. By then, as Newton already has very strong business partners and community supporters, there will be millions of users and merchants settled in Newmall. The users and merchants will provide competitive products, bring a wealth of data and promote economic growth. Through trans-boundary eco-cooperation, the Newton community and the DCC community will merge with each other. The DCC will link the personal consumption data and credit information authorized by NewMall users. Based on the transaction data of the blockchain seller, DCC’s distributed financial ecosystem will implement credit enhancement measures. Our users will be provided with lower-interest-rate and higher-amount credit loan services from which both Newton and DCC communities will benefit. The integration of capital flow and commodity flow in the blockchain will inevitably bring business into a new era belonging to the people and build a new commercial ecology with abundant data flow, reliable information, and open and transparent rules.
Community dynamics
1.On the afternoon of June 16, 2018, Newton Hebei community successfully held the Newton offline meet-up at Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province, China. More than 100 community members attended the salon at the scene. The other community members who were unable to attend participated in the event through live broadcasting.
Newton co-founder Mr. Shubin Li and Newton marketing expert Mr. Yu Zhang delivered a keynote speech. This salon enables community members to have a better understanding of Newton project.
2.The Newton Beijing offline meet-up will be held on June 23, 2018 in Zhongguancun,Haidian district, Beijing, China. At present, the Newtoncommunities around the world are actively organizing the offline meeting to help more people understand the blockchain and understand the Newton project.
3.The number of Newton English communityon Telegram increased from 9,565 to 11,325 this week, with a growth rate of 18.4%. The number of Newton Chinese community on Telegram increased from 2,511 to 2,920 this week, with a growth rate of 16.3%.
