Dear Newton community members:
NewChain TestNet is coming!
At GMT 00:00 on September 3, 2018, the NewChain TestNet will be officially launched. We look forward to your experience and suggestions. Let us work together to create a superior global blockchain product!
This version of NewChain TestNet mainly consists of three parts:
1. NewChain
- High transactional speed: It can reach the speed of 10,000 TPS under relatively optimized network conditions. In the real inter-continental wide area network, its speed can maintain at 5,000 TPS. The block generation rate is 3 seconds.
- Mainchain + Subchain: The mainchain will serve for account management, token management, subchain management, human-machine network governance, etc. Subchain will support various derivative scenarios, various consensus mechanisms and data structures.
- Decentralized Account System: It supports the creation and management of NewID (Decentralized ID).
- Consensus Mechanism based on DPoS: At present, NewChain TestNet has deployed nodes in the western United States, Tokyo, Singapore, etc. With the development of Newton project, the TestNet will be continuously improved and the nodes will be deployed in more countries and regions.
2. NewPay
Both Android and iOS versions are provided. At present, NewPay supports many functions, including creating a wallet, importing and exporting wallet, scanning code for payments and collections, NFC, message notification, contacts management and others. In the future, NewPay will provide more services and functions!
3. NewExplorer
The test version will support block browsing, transaction query, account inquiry and so on. Website link:https://explorer.testnet.newtonproject.org/.
Currently, NewChain TestNet can meet the commercial requirements in terms of transaction speed, scalability, and node management. In the future, these technical indicators will continue to be updated and improved with the growth of Newton.

Since the start of technology development in March 2018, the Newton project has successfully completed several milestones such as the official website release, the first round of token exchange, and the second round of token exchange and so on. The release of Newton’s NewChain TestNet marks its steady development at a faster pace. It is expected that in October 2018, Newton will also release the official NewChain network; Newton’s first real business scenario, NewMall, which is in the process of development and investment attraction. And the third round of Newton token exchange is coming soon!
“Everyone should benefit from economic growth.”
The future has come, so please stay tuned!
